Chocolate Orange Espresso Martini

Our classic espresso martini recipe with a bit of a twist, using orange liquor and grated chocolate this really does taste like chocolate orange, and it's delicious. Perfect party/lockdown Saturday tipple.

Tips

  • This drink fills a standard martini glass, like one for actual martinis, which are smaller than typical ones you would have at home, when we're using our bigger glasses, we just add more booze. 🙃
  • The frothy head comes from shaking, but the coffee you use can have an impact. If you're using a Nespresso machine, after some trial and error we've noticed the purple ones give the best head 👀 The flavoured ones will have a higher oil content and this can split the froth. All are tasty though so don't worry too much.
  • We use a big chunky ice cube for shaking, they chill the drink but they don't break down as much so you won't dilute it.

  • Double Espresso
  • 25ml Coffee Liquor (we use Mr Blacks).
  • 25ml Chase Marmalade Vodka
  • 25ml Cointreau
  • Splash of maple syrup
  • Orange Bitters
  • Dark chocolate

    • 📖Method

  • Combine everything but the bitters and shake well over ice. The better you shake, the better the froth.
  • Add 4-5 drops of the orange bitters
  • Pour into your glasses.
  • Top with grated dark chocolate, or a couple of coffee beans.
